Black Legion., Northern Coalition., and the Might Confederation of xXPIZZAXx have their way with CFC forces. Without any lubricant.
Oh man, the fights last night were epic. Okay, so I know I haven’t posted on here in forever, and I’ve been meaning to update I swear! I figure this story is just as good as any to get me going again.
For the last week we’ve been getting :gudfites: and having fun destroying CFC fleets as they scrambled to protect something like 15 tech moons they had dropped small towers at. Yes you read that right, SMALL towers. Fucking Helen Keller would be a better Internet Spaceship tactician than these guys sometimes. We’ve been having a blast shooting towers to get fights, only to mess with their stront timers when they don’t show, or win a fight then run off to the next tower while they ping jabber for more dudes.
So last night we (Black Legion.) formed up our usual 0220 Muninn fleet, expecting more of the same, except this time we have the PIZZA guys come join us. I was expecting :fail: but to their credit, they were on it and had great fleet discipline – props to you and my bad for judging you before the fight guys =). Anywho, we also have been temp blueing NCdot to get fights. Actually, it’s better to say we have been holding their hand in the USTZ.
My Alliance mate Wiebles wrote up a good BR on Kugu, so I will post it here rather than relate it in my own words, as I should be working right now rather than blogging.
As always, we spent the greater part of Monday waiting for our normal form up in the USTZ evening but tonight was going to be far from normal. We received intel that goons had a drake and caps fleet in N6G-H3 reinforcing NCdot tech towers. Elo knight decided to form the fleet earlier than normal because these caps were not going to just sit around for us. We got into our token munnin fleet and burned the few jumps to N6G-H3; but as soon as arrived the cap fleet bailed out and ran home. We then proceeded to attempt to find the drake fleet but they were bouncing safes so fast we could not pin them down. At this point, NCdot, also in a munnin/tornado fleet, joined us on the 9-22 gate waiting for the reinforcements we knew were coming. Once they arrived, the first in a series of goon welps began. They warped in their 40 drake N6G fleet as the 80 drake reinforcement fleet came in and we proceeded to destroy them.
This rapage on the part of BL and NCdot made Goon leaders very angry so they burned home to swap out to Alpha fleet. At the same time, BL burned to a tech tower that had come out of reinforce and put it right back in. Then we headed home preparing for the Alpha fleet that was still forming up, wondering where they might be headed.
In fact they were headed back to N6G-H3 to try and finish what they started earlier, they still had 1 more tech tower to reinforce. As we formed up, we were informed that they had brought in their cap fleet again. This time however we were prepared and they were not going to get away unscathed. The cyno was lit and the supers jumped in right on top of the dread and carrier fleet as the dictors were bridged in dropping bubbles on most of CFC capitals. They attempted to get away but caps were going to die tonight.
At the same time, the tengu fleet warped into keep the CFC subcaps off of our supers. However, due to the lack of coordination between NCdot and Blegion this time around we were unable to break CFC reps (30 scimis on the field) and Black Legion lost a number of tengus. But in the end, it was all worth it as 13 CFC dreads, died over 32 billion ISK in damage.
The battle report is here.
The supers fought hard but CFC was beginning to form their own supers and titan fleet very quickly and we needed to get out. They CFC was very light on tackle as -A- had bombed their fleet back in 92-D so we were able to warp the supers and bailed with the subcap fleet, sending everyone back home. It was a job well done all around. We thought this was the end.
Only an hour later, Elo Knight and Soho Torres both pipe up on comms that there is another Alpha fleet forming to kill a NC. tech tower in SS-GED and we wanted to have at them again. We reformed our tengu fleet and burned into position on a titan. This time however we were better organized and they were not going to get the upper hand on us twice. Cyno was lit and we bridged in but Lake (the CFC fc) wanted nothing to do with us. He tried to run but there is no running from the King in the North. We landed on top of CFC fleet but once again it seemed that reps were going to hold. Friendly recons were blapped the moment we landed but we were not discouraged. Our anchor burned us right on top of their fleet and we let loose the fury. Just as it seemed that even fury could not break their reps, -A- bombed the scimis of the enemy fleet, disrupting their ability to rep. Maelstroms began to drop 1 by 1 and we knew the field was ours. After numerous deaths, Lake took his fleet of the field, waiting for reinforcement. NCdot and Black Legion brought in reps for the tech tower. But just as we felt the rape was over, Lake brought his fleet back in. What he didn’t know is we were bringing in more recons to make sure they would not leave this time. The field began to fill with wrecks as numerous maelstroms began to die, some of which were pilots that had reshipped from the first fight. Lake tried his best to fight with his fleet but in the end realized that he would win this night. He warped what was left of his fleet off the field and CFC either went home or logged off.
The battle report for SS-GED is here. Video to come.
After nearly 6 hours time, and nearly 50 billion isk in damage to the CFC, Black Legion and NC. knew that this night was finally over.
Quite possibly the most winningest pew I’ve ever had in a single night.
So I got my most epic solo kill last night =)
I was out roaming in Querious in my Pilgrim, trying to find some ratters, and hadn’t been having much luck. I camped UVHO-F for a while, as I used to live in that system months ago before Atlas. decided to stab us in the back, while watching TV but no one got bold enough to venture out to rat. After watching a couple episodes of “Boss” (Kelsey Grammar’s new show, it’s not bad), I decided I was going to put some work in and get me a kill.
I jumped onto dotlan and started checking systems for NPC kills. I found only one, H74-B0, which had just under 400 NPC kills in the last hour. I made my way over there, and it was quite quiet on the journey. When I arrived in H74, there were probably 10 or 15 people in local. They saw me and started talking in local.
[05:28:42] Hakawau > ThatSourDiesel 0/
[05:28:46] Hakawau > whats up goon
Immediately I hit D-Scan and saw a Nightmare – I assumed at a pos, but I got a little excited. I did a system scan and there was only 1 haven within D-Scan range of the gate, so I warped to it at 70km, and landed 8km off the Nightmare. I immediately dropped my cloak, pointed him, and began neuting him. He must not have been in fleet, because he started crying in local.
[05:29:04] Shinoba Kahn > im tackled
He was dropping pretty quick, but his friends were trying to get their shit together to come help him, but I was not deterred.
[05:29:12] Hakawau > fleet me
[05:29:18] Hakawau > we’ll kill this goon
[05:29:46] kaspa101 > ?
[05:30:05] ez caper > invite pls
[05:32:07] Hakawau > Hakawau’s Fleet now
At this point, an Apoc landed at zero on the Nightmare to try and help him. Silly Apoc. By this point I knew the Nightmare’s cap was fully drained, so I put my Tracking Disruptor on the Apoc and he couldn’t touch me. The only damage on me was that of 10 light drones. My Pilgrim’s buffer tank was holding, for now. They were still crying for help though.
[05:32:12] Hakawau > warp to me, kill this faggot
As the Nightmare entered structure, a drake warped in and added to the damage, as well as pointed me. It’s not like I was going to warp out at this point though, I wanted that fucking Nightmare kill. Right as I was about 10-15% armor, BOOM, the Nightmare popped. I was so ecstatic I just cheered out loud and watched with a big smile as my Pilgrim exploded. Finally, I felt it was time I say something in local.
[05:33:15] ThatSourDiesel > WOTRH IT
[05:33:17] ThatSourDiesel > HAHAHAHA
[05:33:23] ThatSourDiesel > suck on that
[05:33:31] ThatSourDiesel > bye bye nightmare
They managed to get a point on my pod before I could get it out of there, but I didn’t care. I lost 2 +3 implants and a 3% CPU implant, but combined that with my ship I only lost ~225m while the Nightmare kill was about 1.5b. Seems like a fair trade to me.
In the end, I popped the Nightmare as it became 3v1, and 2 more showed up too late to help him. By far my best solo kill.
Oh, and I sent the Nightmare pilot an evemail right after where I requested his cooperation with a survey. I have yet to hear back.

**Meant to post this like 3 weeks ago, but it seems I saved it as a draft, whoops…**
So it turns out the guy trying to “recruit” me into WI. was nothing more than trying to recruitment scam me. I was being promised lots of awesome – capital ops, possible free upgrade to a Nyx, etc. But the dude did keep telling me that I should let them move my stuff into their space as it will be insured in case anything happens. I had sold pretty much everything except for a few T2 cruisers, my Blops BS, and various mods, which were all able to fit into my carrier. I told the guy that would not be necessary, I’d just jump in my carrier when the time came. He did try to talk me into letting them move the carrier for me, but I was like, no, I’ll move it. Oh and I’ll light my own cyno too.
By this point, I was starting to be suspicious, but I wasn’t sure as the dude had seemed pretty genuine up until that point (however, people were telling me that goons just recruitment scam people constantly). I tried to call him out, and told him he wasn’t going to get my stuff, so he tried to tell me it was no scam, and I got invited onto the WIdot TS3 which made it also seem more legit. I didn’t have time to hang though, so I logged in the next day and spoke to one of the recruiters who told me flat out that this person was trying to scam me. As it turns out, Wildly Inappropriate isn’t cool with people recruitment scamming under their name. I hung out on ts3 for a bit and was given the proper procedure to apply for the corp, and since I’m such an awesome guy, they decided to let me in.
The next day when I saw the guy trying to scam me log in, I convo’d him and said, “I told you you weren’t going to get my stuff.” I applaud his attempt, but there was never a time I considered contracting my stuff to him.
So I joined Merciless. because they seemed like it might be a better fit for me in terms of what I’ve always been looking for as far as PvP goes – aka, “good fites”. Though, a part of me still wants to be able to use the Thanatos in combat situations – I know, I know, carriers are more logistics than combat, but you know what? I don’t care. I want to hot drop someone. Badly. I’ve been on the receiving end of the hot drop ass rape many times, and now it’s my turn to be the Top. I also want to get in on supercap kills – hell I’ll even pick up a Moros for that too. I just feel like I will use it less in Merciless. than I would in Goons. Though I don’t know that for sure. I did hear the Merciless alliance leader say that carriers “are tools, not toys”. Damnit, I didn’t spend 14b on a pilot and a fully fit Thanny for it to be a sort of jump freighter (though I have found that aspect to be EXTREMELY awesome). I want a big toy. Speaking of spending 14b, I am now COMPLETELY broke. I liquidated most of my assets to get this pilot. In terms of ISK I think I have like 50m – I haven’t had this little ISK in like 9 months. Asset wise I am still rich, I do have like 5 or 6 T2 Cruisers, a Fully fit carrier, a battleship stuck out in Stain, a few battlecruisers, and a Faction Fit Blops boat (which also needs to hot drop something).
So yeah, I joined Merciless. which has made me red to Goonswarm, though I convinced the recruiter to let me have a few days to see how I like it – if I decide Merciless isn’t for me he thinks he can still swing it and get me into WI. So we’ll see how that goes.
I did go a on a roam last night, but Tribute and Vale of the Silent were quiet as hell! We did get to kill a bustard though – it seems he was in a Legion of xXDeathXx renting corp and they got booted so he was trying to move all his stuff out. He tried to ask for mercy in local right as he landed on our sabre bubble – I guess he didn’t look at our alliance name. Oh, and we podded him too. I was happy, I got to take my Curse out on a roam for the first time in a long time. God I love that ship…
Anywho, I am not sure the point of this blog post, I just felt like writing something that is not for my Operating Systems class project. God these projects are killing me. I might have to cancel a date tonight if I don’t finish this up in time. Shit, maybe I should stop posting on this blog then…
Oh, and you should all check out this video: Snuff Boxing. This was the corp I mentioned I almost lost my baddon to before I jumped into hi sex like a lemming. I found it the other day, it’s pretty sweet – these guys are pretty damn good. And now I want a neut Legion.
